Our take on the Sugift 12V Kids Ride On Car with Parent Remote Control

The Sugift 12V Kids Ride On Car is a battery-powered toy car for young children, with a 12-volt system and a parent remote control that lets an adult steer and stop it. The remote is the main draw: it lets you take over before a child is ready to drive alone. At $129.72 at Macy's as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of what 12V ride-ons with a parent remote usually cost. Only one store lists it new, so there is no price competition to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the parent remote control worth it?
Yes, for a child under about 3 who can't steer. The remote lets an adult drive the car until the child learns the pedals and wheel. Older kids will want to drive themselves.
How fast does it go and how long does the battery last?
Sugift does not publish a top speed or run time for this model. Most 12V ride-ons of this size run roughly 2 to 5 mph and last about an hour per charge. Expect less on grass or hills.
What age and weight is it for?
It is built for young children, typically around 3 to 6 years old. Check the weight limit on the box before buying, since Sugift does not list one here.
Is $129.72 a good price?
It is a low price for a 12V ride-on with a parent remote, which often sell for $150 to $250. Only Macy's lists it new as of November 5, 2026, so there is no cheaper store to compare.
What comes in the box?
You get the car, the remote control, the battery and charger, and assembly hardware. It ships unassembled and takes about 30 to 60 minutes to put together.
When is it cheapest?
Ride-ons usually drop in the weeks before Christmas and again in late summer. With one seller, watch Macy's price rather than comparing stores.
Where is the Sugift 12V Kids Ride On Car with Parent Remote Control cheapest?
At Macy's, for $129.72, 70% off, as of our latest check.
