How big a room does this sofa need?

It is 101 inches long, so plan for a wall or open area at least that wide plus clearance to walk around the chaise ends. It suits a large living room, not a small apartment.

Is the cover removable or washable?

The listing gives chenille fabric with no removable or washable cover. Spot-clean and vacuum it, and use a fabric protector if you have pets or kids.

Does it come assembled?

No. This is a flat-pack import sofa, so expect to assemble it and to need a second person for the frame sections.

How many people does it seat?

The U shape with a double chaise seats five or more adults comfortably. The 1,000 lb rating covers the whole sofa, not one seat.

Is a U-shaped sectional good for a TV room?

Yes, if the room is wide enough. The wrap-around layout puts everyone facing the screen, and the double chaise gives two lounge spots.

When is the best time to buy?

Large sofas like this see the deepest discounts around major holiday sales and end-of-season clearances. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.

Our take on the SUGIFT Grey Chenille U-Shaped Sectional Sofa with Double Chaise

The SUGIFT U-shaped sectional is a 101-inch chenille fabric sofa with a double chaise, pillow back cushions and an 18-inch seat height. It seats a large group and is rated for up to 1,000 lb. The U shape wraps around a coffee table and works best in a big living room or open-plan space. It is a budget-priced import sofa, so expect assembly and fabric care to matter more than with a store-brand piece.
