Do I need a box spring with this daybed?

No. The frame includes slats, so a twin mattress sits directly on them. A box spring would add height you probably don't want on a daybed.

What mattress size fits it?

A standard twin mattress, about 38 by 75 inches. The frame is 42.5 inches wide and 79 inches long, so there is some extra room around the mattress.

How much weight does it hold?

The listed maximum is 265 lb. That covers a person plus bedding, so it suits most adults and teens.

Is it good for a guest room?

Yes. It seats like a sofa during the day and sleeps one person at night, which suits guest rooms and small apartments. Keep in mind it is a twin, so it sleeps one.

Does it come with a mattress?

No. The listing is the frame only, and you buy a twin mattress separately.

When is the best time to buy it?

Furniture prices move around holidays and back-to-school sales. Check the price history on this page and buy when the current price sits near the low end of its recent range.
