Is the Sullivan Sofa worth the price?

For a US-made sofa with 8-way hand-tied springs and a down-wrapped bench cushion, yes, if you have the space. It is a long-term piece rather than a budget buy, so compare the current best price with its recent range before ordering.

How does it compare with a sectional?

The Sullivan is a fixed three-seat sofa, 90 inches wide, with no chaise or modular pieces. A sectional gives more seating per foot of wall, but the Sullivan's single bench cushion and curved silhouette suit rooms where a sectional would feel bulky.

What are the seat dimensions?

The seat is 77 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 21 inches high, with a 17-inch back height above the seat. The 24-inch depth is generous, so shorter sitters may want a throw pillow behind them.

What fabrics can I get it in?

It comes in velvet, cotton blend, polyester, polyester blend and polypropylene/olefin, in colors including Gray, Brown, Stone, Beige, White, Coffee, Slate, Sky, Oatmeal and Swan. Velvet and light colors need more care; olefin is the most durable for heavy use.

Does it fit through a standard doorway?

The legs are removable, which helps, but the 90-inch length and 38-inch depth mean you should measure doorways, hallways and stair turns before delivery. Sizes of 95 inches and up add two center support legs.

When is the best time to buy?

Watch the price history for seasonal dips around major holiday sales, and check whether the color and fabric you want is discounted. Maiden Home sells direct, so the listed price is usually the same across stores.
