Do I need a box spring?

No. The bed ships with slats, so a twin mattress sits directly on the frame.

How much floor space does it take?

The frame is 94.56 inches long. Add clearance for the stairs and room to walk around them.

Yes, the frame is solid pine. Pine is sturdy but softer than oak or maple, so expect some denting over time.

What mattress size fits?

A standard twin mattress. Check the loft's guardrail height against your mattress thickness so the rail still does its job.

Is the stair drawer included?

Yes. The stair has a built-in drawer and a shelf, both part of the listed configuration.

When is the best time to buy?

Only one store prices it new, at $633.21 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026. Watch for seasonal furniture sales, since there is no second price to compare against.
