A four-piece queen sheet set from Superior made from cotton labeled 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton, with a solid pattern and deep pockets. The high thread count is the selling point, but shoppers should know that 1000 thread count sheets are usually plied multi-ply yarns, so they feel heavier and denser than a true single-ply percale or sateen. It is a mid-priced set aimed at people who want a crisp, hotel-style bed. Deep pockets fit thicker mattresses and toppers.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 from about 2,000 ratings, the set draws praise for fit and value but complaints about softness and durability. Owners split on whether the fabric feels luxurious or rough.
