Our take on the Sur La Table Kitchen Shears Set of 3

A three-piece set of kitchen shears from Sur La Table with stainless steel blades and anti-slip handles. The blades come apart for cleaning, and the set includes three color-coded pairs so you can keep one for food and others for general kitchen tasks. It is a store-brand set rather than a single premium pair, so value comes from having several shears on hand.

Questions and answers

Are these shears dishwasher safe?
The blades come apart for cleaning, but hand washing and drying is the safer choice. Dishwasher heat and detergent can dull edges and wear the handles over time.
Can they cut chicken bones?
No. These are general kitchen shears for herbs, packaging, vegetables and light meat trimming. Use a cleaver or poultry shears for bone.
What is included in the set?
Three pairs of kitchen shears with stainless steel blades and anti-slip handles in different colors. No sheath or case is included.
How do these compare with a single premium pair?
A premium pair such as Wüsthof or Joyce Chen will feel heavier and hold an edge longer. This set wins on having three pairs for separate tasks at a similar total cost.
Are the blades replaceable?
No. The blades come apart for cleaning but are not sold as replaceable parts. If an edge dulls, sharpen it or replace the pair.
