Our take on the Sweet Home Collection 6 Piece Bed Sheets 1500 Thread Count Fine Microfiber Deep Pocket Set

This is a six-piece microfiber sheet set from Sweet Home Collection in a gray windowpane plaid, sized for a full/double bed with deep pockets. The set includes a flat sheet, fitted sheet and four pillowcases. The 1,500 thread count label is a marketing figure for microfiber, not a cotton count. Its latest best price is $29.99 at Amazon as of November 3, which sits at the low end of its recent range.

Questions and answers

Is the 1,500 thread count real?
No. Microfiber is measured in grams per square meter, not thread count. The 1,500 figure is a marketing label and does not compare to a cotton thread count.
Will it fit a deep mattress?
Yes. The fitted sheet has deep pockets designed for thicker mattresses and toppers. Check your mattress depth against the listed pocket size before buying.
Is it good for hot sleepers?
Not ideal. Microfiber holds heat and moisture more than cotton or linen, so hot sleepers often find it warm.
What comes in the six-piece set?
A flat sheet, a fitted sheet and four pillowcases for a full/double bed.
How should I wash it?
Machine wash cold with like colors and tumble dry low. Skip fabric softener and high heat, which can damage the microfiber.
When is it cheapest?
The set has sold around $29.99 at Amazon as of November 3, near the low end of its recent range. Watch for seasonal bedding sales for further drops.
