How much do I use in place of sugar?

Start with a tiny pinch, about 1/32 teaspoon, per cup of coffee or tea. Pure extract is many times sweeter than sugar, so add more only after tasting.

Does it have a bitter aftertaste?

Pure stevia can taste bitter or licorice-like, especially in larger amounts. Use less than you think you need and it stays clean.

Only in small amounts. It has no bulk, so cakes and cookies need another sweetener or a recipe written for stevia.

Is it gluten-free and kosher?

Yes. SweetLeaf lists this powder as gluten-free and kosher.

Is $14.49 a good price?

It is the best new price among the two stores listing it, at $14.49 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026. Pure stevia is concentrated, so compare cost per serving rather than jar size.
