Our take on the Swiss Mobility LAX 3 Piece Hardside Luggage Set

The Swiss Mobility LAX is a three-piece hardside spinner set in yellow, covering carry-on through checked sizes. The hard shell protects contents and the four-wheel spinners let each case roll upright. At $179.99 at Nordstrom as of November 4, 2026, the set sits at about $60 per case, which is low for hardside spinners. Three stores list it new, so compare before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Swiss Mobility LAX set worth it?
At $179.99 at Nordstrom as of November 4, 2026, it is about $60 per case, which is cheap for hardside spinners. Expect basic hardware and a shell that scuffs; it suits budget travelers more than road warriors.
What sizes are in the three-piece set?
Most LAX sets pair a 20-inch carry-on with a 24-inch and a 28-inch checked case. Confirm the exact sizes on the Nordstrom listing, since set contents can vary by retailer.
Does the hard shell expand?
Hardside shells like this one generally do not expand. Pack to the shell's depth and use packing cubes rather than counting on extra room.
Are the wheels replaceable?
Spinner wheels on budget sets are usually riveted in and not sold as spare parts. Treat them as fixed and avoid dragging the cases over rough pavement.
When is the price lowest?
Luggage sets tend to drop during Black Friday, spring travel sales and end-of-season clearances. Track the price history here and compare the three stores before buying.
Where is the Swiss Mobility LAX 3 Piece Hardside Luggage Set cheapest?
At Nordstrom, for $179.99, 67% off, as of our latest check.
