Questions and answers

Is the SX-991 worth buying?
At a budget price it is a reasonable spare or gym pair. Expect basic sound and a dated Micro-USB port, not premium audio.
How long does the battery last?
NFTIGB claims 16 hours of playback. Real-world time is usually lower at high volume, so plan on charging every few days with heavy use.
Does it work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. It uses standard Bluetooth 5.0, so it pairs with iPhones, Android phones, tablets and most Bluetooth laptops.
What comes in the box?
Typically the headset, a Micro-USB charging cable and ear pads. A wall charger is not usually included.
Can I use it for running and workouts?
Yes, it is marketed for sports and the in-ear fit helps it stay put. It is not rated for water or sweat resistance, so keep it dry.
When is it cheapest?
Budget headsets like this usually drop around back-to-school, Black Friday and Prime Day sales. Check the price history before buying.
