Is this solid 14k gold or gold plated?

The listing names both 14k gold and gold-plated metal, so it is ambiguous. Ask the seller for the stamp and the item weight before buying.

How long is the chain?

The chain is listed as 16 inches with an extender for adjustment. The width field says 18 inches, which looks like an error, so confirm the length with the seller.

Is it good for a confirmation or baptism gift?

A small gold cross on an adjustable chain is a common choice for these occasions. Check the gold content first if the gift is meant to last.

Can the extender be removed?

Most extenders attach with a small jump ring and can be taken off with pliers. The listing does not say whether this one is removable.

When is the best time to buy it?

Our take on the Symbols of Faith Cross Pendant Necklace Extender

A 14k yellow gold cross pendant necklace on a 16-inch chain, sold with an extender so the length can be adjusted. The listing gives the width as 18 inches, which conflicts with the 16-inch chain length, so confirm the actual size before ordering. No current price or recent price range was provided, so there is no basis to judge whether a given price is good.
