Is the Tablecraft SG204BH worth it?

For a manual box grater, yes. It offers six sides, stainless steel construction and dishwasher-safe cleanup at a modest size. Compare its price against simpler four-sided graters before deciding.

What can each side do?

It has three circular graters for coarse, medium and fine grating, plus a slicer and a ripple-cut blade. The sixth side is typically a standard shredding surface.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes, the manufacturer lists it as dishwasher safe. Place it so blades do not contact other items, and dry it promptly to keep the steel bright.

It measures about 3.4 inches long, 4.4 inches wide and 9.25 inches tall, and weighs about 0.67 pounds. It fits in most drawers and cabinets.

Does it come with a container or base?

No. It is a standalone box grater, so you will need your own bowl or cutting board to catch grated food.

Box graters like this usually drop during back-to-school and holiday kitchen sales. Check the price history on this page to see whether the current price is near its low.
