Questions and answers

Is the Taos Advance good for plantar fasciitis?
Yes. It has built-in arch support and an APMA Seal, and the footbed is removable so you can add your own insert. Many owners with plantar fasciitis wear it for walking and travel.
Does the Taos Advance run true to size?
It tends to run small. Taos advises sizing up if you are between sizes, and buyers who wear thick socks often go a half size up.
Can I use orthotics in the Taos Advance?
Yes. The footbed comes out, so most over-the-counter and custom orthotics fit inside.
Is $49.95 a good price for the Taos Advance?
That is the best new price across 3 stores as of November 4, 2026, at täōs. Taos walking shoes usually sell well above that, so it is a strong price if your size is in stock.
Is the Taos Advance good for pickleball?
It is listed for pickleball, but it is a walking shoe with a flexible upper and moderate tread. Casual players are fine; regular court players should pick a dedicated court shoe for lateral support.
What is the upper made of?
Suede and mesh, with a rubber toe cap. The mesh adds breathability and the suede gives structure, but the shoe needs care in rain.
Where is the Taos Advance Women's Walking Shoe cheapest?
At täōs, for $49.95, 33% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.

Where can I buy the Taos Advance Women's Walking Shoe?
