Our take on the TaoTronics Smart 4K Projector Google TV Wi-Fi 6

The TaoTronics Smart 4K Projector is a 1080p-class LCD projector with a 5-inch TFT panel, 700 ANSI lumens and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, bundled with a Google TV dongle that adds Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. It handles auto focus and auto keystone, flips the image 360° for ceiling mounting, and uses five glass lenses. At $199.99 at TaoTronics as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the only price seen since October 31, 2026, so there is no discount history to judge against yet. The draw is Google TV streaming built in without a separate box, at a budget price.

Questions and answers

Is 700 lumens bright enough for daytime viewing?
Owners report it works in a room with windows, but 700 ANSI lumens is best for dim or controlled light. For a bright living room in full sun, expect a washed-out image or a smaller screen.
Do I need a streaming stick with this projector?
No. A Google TV dongle with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 is included in the box, so you can sign in to streaming apps directly.
What is the resolution?
The projector uses a 5-inch LCD TFT panel and is marketed as 4K-capable through the Google TV dongle; the LCD panel itself is 1080p-class. Check the listing for the exact native resolution before buying.
Can I mount it on the ceiling?
Yes. The 360° image flip lets you invert the picture for ceiling mounting, and auto keystone corrects the angle.
Is $199.99 a good price?
It is the only price recorded since October 31, 2026, and the lowest seen, so there is no discount history to compare. At $199.99 with Google TV included, it undercuts most projector-plus-streamer bundles.
What comes in the box?
The projector and the Google TV dongle are included. Check the listing for whether a remote and HDMI cable are also bundled.
Where is the TaoTronics Smart 4K Projector Google TV Wi-Fi 6 cheapest?
At TaoTronics, for $199.99, 50% off, as of our latest check.
Is the TaoTronics Smart 4K Projector Google TV Wi-Fi 6 at its lowest price?
Yes: $199.99 is the lowest price we've seen for it since October 31.
What do buyers say about the TaoTronics Smart 4K Projector Google TV Wi-Fi 6?
Buyers like: Great value for the price; Bright enough to use during the day in a room with windows; Easy and fast setup. Common complaints: Remote control battery cover very snug and hard to open.
