Is the TCL F7D worth it at $499.99?

For a 65-inch QLED with Dolby Vision and Fire TV built in, $499.99 is a fair entry price. You save on a streaming device and get full HDR format support, but you give up 120Hz and extra HDMI ports.

Is this TV good for gaming?

It is a 60Hz set with no listed VRR or 4K120 support, so it suits casual console play. Competitive gamers should look at 120Hz models instead.

Expect the TV, its stand legs, a Fire TV remote and the power cable. A wall mount and HDMI cables are not included.

Does it need a Fire Stick?

No. Fire TV is built into the set, so you get the Fire TV home screen, app store and Alexa voice search without an extra device.

How wide is it and will it fit my console?

The set measures 56.9 inches wide and 34.6 inches tall with the stand, and 11.8 inches deep. Check your furniture's width and depth before buying.

As of November 3, 2026, the lowest new price is $499.99 at Amazon, and only one store lists it new. TV prices usually drop around Black Friday and the Super Bowl, so watch for cuts then.

Our take on the TCL 65" F7D Class 4K UHD HDR QLED Smart TV with Fire TV

The TCL F7D is a 65-inch 4K QLED smart TV with Fire TV built in, so Amazon's interface and voice search work without a streaming stick. It covers every major HDR format (Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG) and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X over its three HDMI ports. The panel is 60Hz, which is fine for movies and casual shows but not for high-frame-rate gaming. At $499.99 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026, it sits at its only listed new price, with no lower recent price on record.
