What compressor do I need for this sand blaster?

It needs 60-100 PSI and 8.8-10.6 CFM at a 1/4" NPT inlet. A small pancake compressor will struggle to keep up; a unit rated near 10 CFM or more works best.

What media can I use?

Sand, soda, beads and walnut media all work, and the maker cites 14 grit media such as sand, aluminum oxide and beads. Fine grit keeps the ceramic nozzles from wearing fast.

The gun, two 5 mm ceramic nozzle tips and a pressure regulator. No hose or media is included.

How does it compare with a siphon blaster?

Gravity feed keeps media flowing more steadily and lets you work at lower pressure than a siphon gun. The trade-off is a heavier top-mounted 30 oz hopper.

Is it worth it at $29.99?

At $29.99 at Amazon as of November 7, 2026, it is a cheap way to try blasting on small jobs. Expect the orifice to wear over time, so treat it as a consumable rather than a long-term tool.

It is already near the bottom of its recent range at $29.99. Watch for small drops around tool sales, but the spread across the 4 stores is narrow.
