Our take on the Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt

The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt is a 12-inch memory foam mattress built on Tempur's dense, slow-responding foam, sold in Twin through California King. It is the mid-tier of Tempur-Pedic's Adapt line, above the base Adapt and below the ProBreeze and LuxeBreeze cooling models. The best new price is $2,949 at BedMart as of November 6, 2026, well above the roughly $2,030 to $2,380 daily range seen in late October and early November 2026, so this is not a low point.

Questions and answers

Is the ProAdapt worth it over the base Tempur-Pedic Adapt?
The ProAdapt adds a thicker, more conforming foam layer and a 12-inch profile over the base Adapt, which suits heavier or side sleepers better. If you sleep hot, the ProBreeze adds cooling for more money.
Does the ProAdapt sleep hot?
Many owners say it runs warm, since this model has no active cooling layer. Hot sleepers should look at the ProBreeze or add a breathable mattress protector.
What sizes does it come in?
Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and California King. All are 12 inches thick, and the mattress is 80 inches long in the Queen and larger sizes.
How long does it take to break in?
Owners typically report two to four weeks before the foam softens to its final feel. Expect a new-foam smell for the first few days.
Is $2,949 a good price?
It is the best new price across three stores as of November 6, 2026, but it sits well above the $2,029 to $2,379 daily range seen in late October and early November 2026. Waiting for a sale is reasonable.
Does it work on an adjustable base?
Yes, the foam flexes on adjustable bases, and Tempur-Pedic sells matching bases. A solid or slatted foundation is recommended over a box spring.
Where is the Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt cheapest?
At BedMart, for $2,949.00, as of our latest check.
Is the Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt at its lowest price?
The lowest price we've seen is $2,029.30 at Mancini's Sleepworld on October 30, against $2,949.00 now.
What do buyers say about the Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt?
Rated 4.4 out of 5 from 11,000 ratings.
