Our take on the TESSAN Vertical Power Strip with USB-C Charging

The TESSAN Vertical Power Strip is a tower-style surge protector with 8 AC outlets, one USB-C port and two USB-A ports, on a 10 ft flat cord. The vertical layout keeps plugs stacked instead of sprawling across a desk or floor, and a built-in circuit breaker adds overload protection. At $26.49 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, with only two stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the USB-C port enough to charge a laptop?
Usually not. The USB-C port is rated 3A, which is fine for phones and tablets but below what most laptops need for fast charging. Use a wall outlet for a laptop charger.
How many devices can it power at once?
It has 8 AC outlets plus 3 USB ports, but the total load is capped at 1250W. That covers computers, monitors, lamps and chargers; keep high-draw appliances like space heaters off it.
Does it protect against power surges?
Yes, it is a surge protector with a built-in circuit breaker. TESSAN does not publish a joule rating, so treat it as basic protection rather than a whole-desk surge solution.
How long is the cord and can it reach behind a desk?
The cord is 10 ft and flat, which is long enough for most desks and wall outlets set back from furniture. The flat profile lets it run under a rug or along a baseboard.
Is $26.49 a good price?
It is the best new price found, at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, and only two stores list it new. With a narrow price range, waiting for a deeper discount is unlikely to pay off.
Where is the TESSAN Vertical Power Strip with USB-C Charging cheapest?
At Macy's, for $26.49, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the TESSAN Vertical Power Strip with USB-C Charging?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Macy's, Home Depot.
