Our take on the The Active Play System for Kids & Families + 3-Month Play Pass Bundle

This is a controller-free motion gaming console for the living room: a camera-and-AI box that plugs into a TV or projector over HDMI and tracks up to four players' body movements at once. It ships with five games (Fruit Ninja, Starri, Whac-a-Mole, Go Keeper, Party Fowl) and a 3-month Play Pass that unlocks 30+ more, including titles built around Barbie, TMNT, Peppa Pig, Elmo, Miraculous Ladybug, Gabby's Dollhouse and Kung Fu Panda. It is aimed at families with young kids rather than core gamers, and the bundle's value depends heavily on whether you keep the Play Pass after three months. Questions and answers

Is the 3-month Play Pass required to play?
No. The five included games work without a subscription. Play Pass adds the 30+ game library, and you decide at the end of three months whether to keep paying.
How many people can play at once?
Up to four players simultaneously, tracked by the built-in camera without controllers.
What do I need to set it up?
A TV or projector with a free HDMI port and enough open floor space for players to move. It connects over HDMI and sits on a console or mantle.
Does it work in a dim room?
Camera tracking generally needs reasonable lighting and clear space. Very dark rooms or furniture in the play area can hurt tracking accuracy.
Is it good for teenagers or adults?
Less so. The library is built around kids' licensed characters and party-style games; older players may find it shallow compared with a console like a Switch.
When is the best time to buy?
Watch the price history around Black Friday, back-to-school and the holidays, when family consoles and bundles are most often discounted. Compare the bundle price against the console alone plus three months of Play Pass.
Where can I buy the The Active Play System for Kids & Families + 3-Month Play Pass Bundle?
