Questions and answers

Is this unit gas or electric?
The product name says 27kW electric, but the listed specs say natural gas, 68,000 BTU, model CZ264NG. Confirm with the seller before ordering, because the two need completely different wiring, venting and installation.
How many fixtures can it run at once?
The listing rates it at 2.9 GPM and 1 to 2 fixtures. That covers a shower plus a sink in mild climates, but two showers at once will likely outrun it.
What is included in the box?
The listing includes a user manual and installation kits. It does not list venting parts, a gas connector or a power cord, so plan on buying those separately.
Can I install it myself?
Gas tankless units need a gas line, proper venting and often a permit. Most buyers should use a licensed plumber or gas fitter for safety and to keep the warranty valid.
Does it work in cold weather?
It has anti-freeze protection and is for indoor use. In freezing areas, keep the unit in a heated space and follow the manual's drain-down steps if the building will be unoccupied.
When is the price lowest?
Tankless heaters tend to dip during spring and fall promotions and around major sales events. Check the price history on this page before buying.
