Questions and answers

Is the Shifty BOA good for beginners?
Yes. The soft flex and single BOA dial make it forgiving and easy to tighten, which suits riders still learning edge control and park basics.
How does it compare with the ThirtyTwo Lashed?
The Lashed is stiffer and more supportive for all-mountain riding. The Shifty BOA is softer and more playful, aimed at park and freestyle.
Is one BOA dial enough?
For a soft boot, yes. One dial tightens the whole shell evenly, but you cannot adjust the upper and lower zones separately like a dual-BOA boot.
What is the flex rating?
ThirtyTwo lists it as a soft flex. It is among the most forgiving boots in the line, so it suits park riding more than high-speed carving.
Is the liner heat-moldable?
Yes. The liner can be heat-molded at a shop for a closer fit, and it also packs out with normal riding.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price is $139.94 at Aspen Ski and Board as of November 3, 2026. End-of-season clearance is the usual time for deeper discounts on snowboard boots.
Where is the ThirtyTwo Shifty BOA Snowboard Boots cheapest?
At Aspen Ski and Board, for $139.94, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the ThirtyTwo Shifty BOA Snowboard Boots?
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 77 ratings.
