Will this fit my bike?

It fits bikes with a quick-release rear axle and is rated for e-bikes. It does not fit thru-axle bikes, which need a different Thule adapter.

What is included in the box?

You get the ezHitch cup and an extra-long quick-release skewer. The trailer and its own hitch parts are not included.

Which trailers does it work with?

It is designed for Thule child carriers and compatible Thule cargo trailers. Check your trailer model's hitch type before buying.

Is it worth it over the standard frame hitch?

Yes if your frame or brake setup leaves no clean spot for a frame hitch, or if you ride an e-bike. Otherwise the standard hitch is simpler.

How much load can it carry?

The plate is rated for 34 kg. Stay within your trailer's own weight limit as well.

This is a low-volume accessory, so discounts are small. Compare across stores and buy when a listing drops below its usual range.

Our take on the Thule Axle Mount ezHitch Plate

The Thule Axle Mount ezHitch Plate is a small aluminum bracket that lets a bike with a quick-release rear axle tow a Thule child carrier or cargo trailer. It replaces the standard hitch mount with an axle-mounted cup and includes an extra-long quick-release skewer, so the trailer attaches at the rear wheel rather than the frame. It is rated for 34 kg and is aimed at e-bikes and bikes with quick-release axles. It is a niche accessory, so pricing varies little between stores; check the current price against its usual range before buying.
