Our take on the Tineco S3 Extreme 3-in-1 Wet/Dry Mop, Vacuum and Self-Cleaning Smart Floor Washer

The Tineco S3 Extreme is a cordless upright floor washer that vacuums and mops wet or dry messes in one pass, then cleans its own brush roll and tubing on a dock cycle. It has a HEPA filter and a 0.18-gallon clean water tank, so a full tank covers a few rooms before a refill. It is built for hard floors, not carpets. At 4.5 out of 5 from about 1,300 ratings, it is well received, but no current price was provided, so check the latest store price against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Tineco S3 Extreme worth it?
It is worth it if most of your home is hard flooring and you want vacuuming and mopping in one step. If you have lots of carpet or very large open floors, a corded or bigger-tank model may suit you better.
Can it clean carpets?
No. The S3 Extreme is designed for sealed hard floors such as tile, vinyl and hardwood. Use a separate vacuum for carpets and rugs.
How long does the battery last?
Runtime depends on mode, and the highest suction and water settings drain the battery fastest. Expect to clean a few rooms per charge rather than a whole large home.
What comes in the box?
The box includes the floor washer, a brush roll, a filter and the charging dock. Check the listing for any extra brush rolls or cleaning solution bundles.
How often do I refill the tank?
The clean water tank holds 0.18 gallons, so plan on a refill every few rooms. The dirty water tank should be emptied after each use.
When is it cheapest?
Floor washers like this one tend to drop during major sales events and when a newer model launches. Compare the current price with its recent price history before buying.
What do buyers say about the Tineco S3 Extreme 3-in-1 Wet/Dry Mop, Vacuum and Self-Cleaning Smart Floor Washer?
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 1,300 ratings.
