Is the 100W panel worth it over the 60W version?

If you charge a portable power station, the 100W model roughly doubles the input and is the better pick. The 60W version suits phone and tablet charging and lighter packing.

Can it charge a portable power station directly?

Yes. It offers 14.4V and 19V DC output through the included cable, which suits many small to mid-size power stations. Check your station's input voltage and connector before buying.

Does it charge in cloudy weather?

It will produce some power under clouds, but far below the rated 100W. Expect a slow trickle rather than a full charge.

What comes in the box?

The panel and a USB cable. A charge controller or adapter for your power station may be needed separately.

Can it charge a laptop?

Only if your laptop accepts USB charging at the panel's output. There is no USB-C PD port listed, so many modern laptops will not fast-charge from it.

Our take on the Topsolar Solar Fairy

The Topsolar Solar Fairy is a foldable solar panel sold in 100W and 60W versions, built from ETFE-coated monocrystalline cells with dual USB ports and 14.4V/19V DC output. It folds into a briefcase-style package with an adjustable bracket stand and weighs about 4.6 lbs, so it packs for camping, van life and emergency backup. The 100W model measures roughly 22.8 x 17.7 inches folded and 42.9 x 22.4 inches open. It is aimed at charging phones, tablets and portable power stations rather than running appliances directly. No current store price was provided, so compare the latest listing against its recent range before buying.
