Are these the same as standard school #2 pencils?

Yes. They use #2 graphite lead, the hardness most US schools and standardized tests require. The hexagonal yellow barrel is the conventional school-pencil design.

Are the erasers safe for latex allergies?

Trailmaker lists the erasers as latex free, so they are a reasonable choice for kids or adults with latex sensitivity. That does not guarantee they erase cleanly on every paper.

How many pencils come in a pack?

Each pack holds 10 pencils, and the pencils inside are individually wrapped. If you need a full class set, plan on buying several packs.

Do these work in electric pencil sharpeners?

Standard hexagonal wood pencils generally sharpen fine in most electric and manual sharpeners. Very dull blades can splinter the wood, so keep the sharpener clean.

When is the best time to buy?

Back-to-school season in July and August is when pencil multipacks are usually discounted, but prices vary by store. Compare current listings before stocking up.

Our take on the Trailmaker No. 2 Pencils 10-Pack

Trailmaker No. 2 Pencils are standard yellow hexagonal wood pencils with graphite lead and latex-free erasers, sold in a 10-pack of individually wrapped pencils. The hexagonal barrel resists rolling and the lead is marketed for high break resistance. This is a basic classroom and household pencil with no premium features, so it competes on price alone. No current price was provided, so check the latest store comparison before buying.
