Our take on the Trent Austin Design Bronze 3-Bag Laundry Sorter

This is a rolling laundry sorter with three fabric bags on a bamboo and chrome frame, sized 27 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 32 inches tall. The three compartments let you separate lights, darks and delicates before wash day, and the bags lift out for carrying to the machine. It is a furniture-style piece, so it suits a bedroom or bathroom better than a hidden utility corner. It has a 4.6 out of 5 rating from 186 ratings.

Best forHouseholds that sort laundry into three loadsBedrooms and bathrooms where the hamper stays visiblePeople who want lift-out bags instead of one binRenters who want a sorter that moves easily

Pros

Three separate bags keep lights, darks and delicates apart
Bamboo and chrome frame looks better than a plastic hamper
Bags lift out to carry a full load to the washer
Rolling frame makes it easy to move for cleaning
32-inch height means less bending than a floor bin

Cons

Fabric bags can sag or tear if overloaded
Open-top design leaves laundry visible
27-inch width needs real floor space

Questions and answers

Is this sorter worth it over a single hamper?: If you already separate lights, darks and delicates, three bags save sorting time on wash day. For one-person households with one weekly load, a single hamper is cheaper and smaller.
How big are the bags and the frame?: The frame is 27 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 32 inches tall. Each of the three fabric bags is sized for roughly one load, so plan on a full wash when a bag fills.
Can the bags be removed for carrying?: Yes. Each bag lifts off the frame so you can carry it to the washer. The frame stays in place.
Does it work in a bathroom?: It can, but the bamboo frame and fabric bags do better in a dry room. Steam and splashes shorten the life of both materials.
What is included?: You get the bamboo and chrome frame with three fabric bags. Check the listing for the bag color, since the frame is chrome.
When is the price lowest?: Laundry storage tends to drop during back-to-school and January organization sales. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
What do buyers say about the Trent Austin Design Bronze 3-Bag Laundry Sorter?: Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 186 ratings.
