Questions and answers

Is the TRINX cat house warm enough for freezing winters?

The insulated HDPE walls block wind and slow heat loss, but the house has no heat source. Add straw or a self-warming mat and place it out of the wind for sub-freezing nights.

What is the escape door for?

It gives a cat a second way out if another animal guards the main entrance. That matters in yards shared by raccoons, dogs or dominant cats.

How big is it inside?

It stands 35.4 inches tall across two levels, so each level is a low crawl-in space. It suits average cats; very large cats may find the openings tight.

Does it come with bedding or a heating pad?

No. The listing covers the house and escape door only. Budget for straw, a mat or an outdoor-rated heated pad.

Is $83.99 a good price?

Wayfair is the only store pricing it new at $83.99 as of November 4, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare. Comparable insulated two-level plastic houses often sell for $80 to $150.

HDPE or wood for an outdoor cat house?

HDPE does not rot, swell or need repainting, which makes it lower maintenance in rain and snow. Wood insulates slightly better but needs sealing and eventual repair.

Where is the TRINX 2-Story Insulated HDPE Outdoor Cat House and Escape Door cheapest?

At Wayfair, for $83.99, as of our latest check.
