Our take on the Twin Size Metal Daybed Frame with Floral Headboard

This is a twin-size metal daybed frame with a floral-patterned metal headboard, sold as frame only, so you supply the mattress. The metal slat base means no box spring is needed. It works as a sofa by day and a bed by night in a guest room, kids' room or small studio. At the latest best price it sits near the low end of its recent range, so it is a reasonable time to buy if the floral look suits the room.

Questions and answers

Do I need a box spring with this daybed?
No. The frame includes metal slats, so a twin mattress sits directly on them. A box spring would add height you probably do not want on a daybed.
What mattress size fits?
A standard twin mattress, typically 38 by 75 inches. Check the mattress depth, since a very thick one can sit above the side rails.
Is the mattress included?
No. This is the frame only, including the headboard and slats. You buy the twin mattress separately.
Can two people sit on it as a sofa?
Yes, a twin daybed seats two adults side by side against the headboard. It is a sitting spot, not a full-size couch.
Will the metal frame squeak?
Some metal daybeds develop squeaks at the joints over time. Tighten the bolts after assembly and recheck them every few months.
When is the best time to buy?
Frame-only metal daybeds see the deepest discounts around back-to-school and major holiday sales. The current price is already near the low end of its recent range.
