The Type S BT56625M-62 is a wireless backup camera kit that mounts over the license plate and draws power from the reverse lights. The best new price is $158.99 at AutoZone as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Type S BT56625M-62 worth it?
At $158.99 at AutoZone as of November 7, 2026, it is priced like mid-range kits but rated 2 out of 5. Its 480 x 272 resolution is low for the money, so compare it with higher-resolution wireless kits before buying.
How is the camera powered?
It hardwires to the reverse lights, so it turns on when you shift into reverse. No separate battery or cabin wiring is needed for the camera.
Does it work at night?
Yes. It has night vision and is rated for low-light driving, though the low resolution limits how much detail you see.
What is in the box?
The kit includes the camera, the wireless monitor and a monitor mount. Check the listing for cable length and any adapters before installing.
How wide is the view?
The lens covers 110 degrees. That is narrower than many backup cameras, which often reach 150 degrees or more.
When is it cheapest?
Only one store prices it new, at $158.99 at AutoZone as of November 7, 2026. With no competing listings, the price is unlikely to move much.
