Questions and answers

Do I need ear impressions to order these?: Yes. Custom-fit monitors are built from impressions of your ears, usually taken by an audiologist or a UE-approved location. The shells are then molded to that shape.
How do these compare with universal-fit in-ear monitors?: The custom mold gives better isolation and a more consistent seal than universal tips, and the tuning is deliberately flat. Universal models cost less and can be returned, but fit varies from ear to ear.
Are they good for casual listening?: They are built for reference work, so the bass is accurate rather than boosted. If you want a warmer, more energetic sound for music on the go, a consumer-tuned IEM may suit you better.
What is in the box?: The set includes the custom monitors and a durable IPX/T2 cable. The shells can be finished in wood, carbon fiber or mother of pearl.
Is the price of $749.25 a good one?: It is the best new price found as of November 7, 2026, at Ultimate Ears PRO, with two stores listing it new. That puts it at the low end of its recent range.
Can I use them wirelessly?: No. They are wired only, with an IPX/T2 cable connection. There is no Bluetooth or battery inside the monitors.
Where is the Ultimate Ears Reference Remastered Custom-Fit In-Ear Monitors cheapest?: At Ultimate Ears PRO, for $749.25, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Ultimate Ears Reference Remastered Custom-Fit In-Ear Monitors?: Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 11 ratings.
Where can I buy the Ultimate Ears Reference Remastered Custom-Fit In-Ear Monitors?: 2 stores we checked sell it, including Ultimate Ears PRO, CCI Solutions.
