Is this sheet set worth the price?

If you want soft, warm flannel that lasts several winters, the L.L.Bean set is a solid buy. Budget flannel is cheaper but tends to pill and thin out faster.

Does it shrink after washing?

Flannel commonly shrinks on the first wash. Wash cold and tumble dry low to limit shrinkage, and expect a slightly snugger fit afterward.

What sizes does the set come in?

This listing is the Twin set. L.L.Bean also sells the same flannel in Full, Queen and King, so check the size before ordering.

Will it fit a deep mattress?

Standard Twin fitted sheets fit mattresses around 12 inches deep. Measure your mattress first if it is thicker than that.

When is the best time to buy?

Flannel sheets are cheapest in late winter and during L.L.Bean's seasonal sales. Prices are usually highest in early fall when cold-weather stock arrives.

A Twin set includes one flat sheet, one fitted sheet and one pillowcase. Confirm the set count on the listing before you buy.

Our take on the Ultrasoft Comfort Flannel Sheet Set, Plaid

The L.L.Bean Ultrasoft Comfort Flannel Sheet Set in Plaid is a brushed cotton flannel bedding set in Twin size, sold as a single set. It is known for a soft, broken-in feel and a pill-resistant finish that holds up through repeated washing. L.L.Bean's flannel is a long-running cold-weather staple, and the plaid pattern is a classic cabin-style look. The set is a seasonal buy, so watch for markdowns outside fall and winter.
