Our take on the Unfinished Shaker Un-Assembled Base Open Shelf Cabinet 9in W x 34.5in H x 24in D

This is an unassembled 9-inch-wide Shaker base cabinet with an open shelf, sold unfinished so you can stain or paint it to match your kitchen. At 34.5 inches tall and 24 inches deep, it fits standard base cabinet runs and works as a narrow filler, spice pull-out spot, or open storage end unit. The adjustable shelf lets you set the height for tall bottles or small items. It ships flat, so assembly and finishing are on you.

Questions and answers

Is this cabinet worth it compared to a finished one?
If you are already painting or staining cabinets, yes. You save on the finish and control the color. If you want something ready to install, a prefinished cabinet will cost more but save hours of work.
How hard is it to assemble?
It is a flat-pack cabinet with cam locks or screws, similar to box-store cabinets. Expect about an hour with a screwdriver and a rubber mallet, plus time to square the box before the back goes on.
What are the exact dimensions?
It is 9 inches wide, 34.5 inches high and 24 inches deep, a standard base cabinet height and depth. Check your countertop overhang and toe kick before ordering.
Does it come with a shelf and hardware?
It includes one adjustable shelf and the assembly fasteners. Door hinges and pulls are usually not included, so plan to buy those separately.
Can I cut it down or modify it?
Unfinished wood is easy to cut and sand, so trimming the depth or adding a shelf is practical. Cut before finishing, and seal any raw edges afterward.
When is the best time to buy?
Cabinet prices dip during kitchen and remodeling sales, often in spring and around major holiday weekends. Compare across stores, since flat-pack cabinet pricing varies widely.
