Our take on the Unfinished Shaker Wall Cabinet W3615 36 in. W x 15 in. H

This is an unfinished Shaker-style wall cabinet, 36 inches wide, 15 inches tall and 12 inches deep. It is a single short wall unit, sized for over a sink, above a refrigerator or as a filler row between taller cabinets. It ships bare wood, so you choose the stain or paint and match the rest of the kitchen. No price or recent price range is available for this listing, so there is nothing to compare against its history.

Best forKitchen remodels where you want to match an existing stain or paintOver-sink or above-refrigerator filler where height is tightDIY buyers comfortable finishing and hanging cabinets
Rental or budget kitchens that need a small wall unit
Pros
  • Unfinished surface takes stain or paint to match any kitchen
  • Shaker door style is a safe, widely matched look
  • 36-inch width gives useful storage in a short 15-inch height
  • 12-inch depth is standard for wall cabinets and fits dishes and glassware
  • Short height fits over sinks, ranges and refrigerators
Cons
  • Requires sanding, priming and finishing before installation, which adds time and cost
  • No price or price history is available to judge the deal
  • 15-inch height limits what fits: tall bottles and stacked plates may not clear
  • Unfinished cabinets can show grain and knots unevenly after staining
  • Hardware, shelves and mounting may not be included

Questions and answers

Is this cabinet worth buying unfinished?
It depends on your finishing skills. Unfinished saves money up front, but you pay in sanding, priming and painting or staining time. If you want a custom color match, it is a reasonable route.
Will a 15-inch-tall wall cabinet fit over my sink?
Usually yes. A 15-inch height leaves room for a faucet and window trim above a standard sink. Check your faucet height and any window sill before ordering.
What is in the box?
Expect the cabinet box and door only. Shelves, hinges, handles and mounting screws are often sold separately, so confirm before you buy.
Can I paint it instead of staining it?
Yes. Sand lightly, prime with a stain-blocking primer and use a cabinet-grade paint. Bare wood takes paint well but needs the primer to avoid grain raise.
Does it come in other widths or heights?
Shaker wall cabinets are commonly sold in a range of widths and heights, including 30- and 36-inch widths and 15-, 30- and 42-inch heights. Match the width to your layout and the height to what sits below.
When is the best time to buy?
No price history is available for this cabinet, so there is no reliable seasonal low to point to. Compare the total with finishing supplies and shipping before deciding.
