Our take on the Universal Waite Tarot Deck in a Tin

The Universal Waite Tarot Deck in a Tin is a 78-card pocket edition of the classic Rider-Waite-Smith tarot, recolored by Mary Hanson-Roberts from Pamela Colman Smith's original line art. The cards come in a hinged metal tin measuring about 14.7 x 10.2 x 2.8 cm, so the deck travels without a cardboard box getting crushed. It is the standard 78-card structure with the same imagery used in most English-language tarot guides. At $16.96 at BooksRun as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with five stores listing it new.
