Our take on the UPERFECT 15.6" Touchscreen Portable Monitor 1080P IPS Display with USB-C & HDMI

The UPERFECT 15.6" Touchscreen Portable Monitor is a 1080p IPS panel with 10-point touch, built for Windows, Android and Linux devices. It weighs 2.1 lb, runs at 60 Hz with a 3 ms response time, and covers 100% sRGB with HDR support. It connects over USB-C, mini HDMI or HDMI, and includes a leather stand case and cables in the box. It is a niche pick: touch works only with specific HDMI cabling and it does not support iOS or macOS touch.

Questions and answers

Is the touchscreen worth it over a non-touch portable monitor?
If you use Windows, Android or Linux and want to tap or draw on a second screen, the touch layer is the main reason to pay more. If you only need a second display for reading and video, a cheaper non-touch panel does the same job.
Does touch work with a MacBook or iPhone?
No. Touch is supported on Windows, Android and Linux only, and the monitor is not compatible with iOS or macOS for touch. A MacBook can still use it as a plain display over USB-C or HDMI.
What cable do I need for touch to work?
Touch requires the specific HDMI cabling included in the box, so use the supplied HDMI to HDMI cable rather than a random one. USB-C alone carries video but not the touch signal on this model.
Can I use it with a Nintendo Switch or PlayStation?
It works as a display for consoles over HDMI, but touch is not supported on most gaming consoles. Treat it as a plain 1080p screen for console play.
How bright is the screen?
Brightness is 300 cd/m², which is fine indoors but washes out in direct sunlight or very bright rooms. It is not an outdoor-readable panel.
What is in the box?
You get the monitor, a leather stand case, an HDMI to HDMI cable, a USB-C to USB-C cable and two USB-A to USB-C cables. No power adapter is listed.
