Our take on the Upgo Foldable Kick Scooter for Kids and Teens

The Upgo is a two-wheel manual kick scooter with 8-inch all-terrain wheels and a folding frame, rated for riders 6 to 18 and up to 240 lb. The high weight limit and larger wheels set it apart from typical kids' scooters, which often cap around 150 lb on smaller wheels. Its 4.3 out of 5 rating from 95 ratings is solid but not standout. No current price was provided, so check the latest best price against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Upgo scooter worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you need a scooter that fits a wide age range and holds up to 240 lb. Its 4.3 out of 5 rating from 95 ratings suggests most buyers are happy. Compare the current price with similar 8-inch two-wheel scooters before deciding.
What age is the Upgo scooter for?
Upgo lists it for ages 6 to 18, with a minimum recommended age of 6. Younger or less confident riders may do better on a three-wheel scooter for stability.
How much weight can it hold?
The maximum load is 240 lb, which is high for a kids' scooter and covers most teens and many adults. Check the deck and frame for cracks if you regularly ride near that limit.
Does it fold, and how big is it folded?
Yes, the frame folds for storage and transport. Folded dimensions are not listed, so confirm them with the seller if trunk space matters.
What wheels does it have?
It has two 8-inch all-terrain wheels. They roll over cracks and gravel better than small hard wheels, but there is no suspension, so rough ground still feels bumpy.
When is the best time to buy it?
Scooters like this often drop around back-to-school season and Black Friday. Check the price history on this page to see whether the current price is near its low.
What do buyers say about the Upgo Foldable Kick Scooter for Kids and Teens?
