Is the Vabches 47-in desk good for a home office?

Yes, if you need storage as much as desk space. The filing cabinet, shelves and drawer keep files and supplies in one footprint, which suits a spare room or a corner office.

How big is the desktop?

The top measures 47.24 inches wide and 19.69 inches deep. That fits a monitor, keyboard and a stack of papers, but a dual-monitor setup will feel tight.

Does it come with a filing cabinet?

Yes. The desk includes a filing cabinet plus open shelves and a retractable drawer. Check the listing for the drawer's file size support before buying.

Is $189.99 a good price for this desk?

It is the only new price listed, $189.99 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare. Desks with built-in filing storage often cost more, so it is reasonable if the size fits.

What is the desk made of?

It is built mainly from wood with a black finish. Expect a painted or laminated surface that can scratch, so use a mat under heavy items.

Can the filing cabinet be placed on either side?

The listing does not say whether the cabinet can be reversed. Check the assembly instructions or product images before ordering if desk orientation matters.
