Is this rug really machine washable?

The listing says yes. A 5.3' x 7' shag rug is large for a home washer, so check your drum capacity or plan on a commercial machine. Air dry rather than tumble dry to protect the pile.

Does it need a rug pad?

It is listed as non-slip, so a pad is optional. On slick hardwood or tile, a thin pad still helps keep the edges flat and adds cushioning.

Will the cheetah print fade or bleed in the wash?

Brown animal prints on synthetic shag can dull with repeated hot washes. Use cold water and mild detergent, and wash only when needed.

What size room does 5.3' x 7' suit?

It works as a small living room rug in front of a sofa, under a coffee table, or at the foot of a queen bed. It is too small to anchor a full seating group.

Is it good for homes with pets?

The washable build helps, but shag pile catches pet hair and claws can snag it. Shake it out often and vacuum on a low setting.

Our take on the VALOMENE 5.3' x 7' Cheetah Print Area Rug

The VALOMENE Cheetah Print Area Rug is a 5.3' x 7' rectangular shag rug in brown leopard print, made for indoor living rooms and bedrooms. It is machine washable and listed as non-slip, which is unusual for a shag rug this size. It is a decor piece first: the animal print is bold and the pile is soft, so it suits western, maximalist or eclectic rooms rather than quiet neutral ones.
