Is the Vatrer 100Ah worth it over a lead-acid Group 24?
Yes for most RV and marine users. It weighs about half as much, lasts far more cycles and delivers usable capacity down to near-empty, though it costs more up front.
What charger do I need?
Use a lithium (LiFePO4) profile charger that charges at 14.2-14.6V. A standard lead-acid charger may not fully charge it or may hold it at the wrong voltage.
Can it charge below freezing?
No. The BMS cuts off charging at low temperatures to protect the cells. Discharging in cold is fine, but winter solar charging will pause until the battery warms.
