Our take on the VECELO Upholstered Metal Platform Bed Frame with Charging Station

A queen platform bed with an upholstered, lighted headboard, built-in bookcase shelves and a charging station. The metal frame is rated to 750 lb and includes slats, so no box spring is needed. It also has under-bed storage drawers, unusual at this price. At $145.99 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with only two stores listing it new.

Best forShoppers who want storage and shelves without a box springRenters and guest rooms needing a full bed setup in one buyPeople who charge phones and tablets at the bedsideBudget buyers wanting an upholstered headboard look
Pros
  • 750 lb weight capacity is high for a metal platform frame
  • Slats included, so no box spring is needed
  • Charging station and lighted headboard add bedside convenience
  • Bookcase shelves and drawers add storage in a small footprint
  • Upholstered headboard softens the look of a metal frame
Cons
  • Assembly is involved: many parts and steps
  • Lighted headboard and charging ports depend on power routing
  • Drawer and shelf capacity is limited on a queen frame
  • Only two stores list it new, so price checks are thin
