Our take on the Veitorld Extendable Magnetic Flashlight LED Telescoping Magnet Pickup Tool

The Veitorld Extendable Magnetic Flashlight is a telescoping LED pickup tool with a magnet tip, built for retrieving dropped screws and bolts from tight spaces. It weighs 3.4 oz and is rated up to 1,000 lumens, so it doubles as a work light. It is a low-cost specialty tool rather than a general-purpose flashlight, and its price sits in the budget tier typical of magnetic pickup tools.

Pros
  • Telescoping shaft reaches into gaps a hand cannot
  • Magnet tip grabs and holds small steel fasteners
  • 1,000-lumen LED lights the same spot the magnet reaches
  • Light at 3.4 oz, easy to keep in a drawer or glovebox
  • Combines two tools, so fewer trips back to the toolbox
Cons
  • Magnet only holds ferrous metal, not screws or aluminum parts
  • 1,000 lumens is a claimed figure; expect less on a small cell
  • Telescoping sections can bend if used to pry or lift
  • Not a substitute for a full-size flashlight for long use

Questions and answers

Is the Veitorld magnetic flashlight worth it?
For occasional dropped-screw retrieval and peeking into dark gaps, yes. It is a cheap specialty tool, not a replacement for a real flashlight or a strong retrieval magnet.
How strong is the magnet?
It is sized for small steel fasteners like screws and nuts. It will not reliably lift heavy tools or hold non-ferrous metal such as aluminum or stainless.
How far does it extend?
The listing does not state the extended length. Check the product page for the collapsed and extended dimensions before buying if reach is critical.
Does it use a rechargeable battery or standard batteries?
The listing does not specify the power source. Confirm whether it takes button cells or AAA batteries, since that affects running cost.
Is 1,000 lumens realistic?
Treat 1,000 lumens as a peak claim. Small LED tools of this size typically deliver less in sustained use, which is still enough to light a cavity.
When is it cheapest?
Magnetic pickup tools of this type usually dip during tool-focused sales events and holiday promotions. Compare current listings across stores before buying.
