Pros
  • Targeted chest and back heating rather than a single pad
  • Slim enough to layer under a jacket
  • Three colorways in regular sizing
  • Strong 4.9 out of 5 rating across 74 ratings
  • Upgraded version over the original model
Cons
  • Battery pack and charger are the weak point on heated vests; runtime drops at the highest setting

Questions and answers

Is the Venustas heated vest worth it?
If you spend time outdoors in cold weather and want warmth without a bulky layer, yes. It is a midlayer, not a replacement for a winter coat, so pair it with a shell in wet or windy conditions.
How long does the battery last?
Expect roughly a few hours on the highest setting and longer on low, depending on the battery capacity included. Carry a spare or a power bank if you need all-day heat.
How should I size it?
It uses regular sizing and is meant to sit close to the body for heat transfer. If you plan to wear it over a thick sweater, consider sizing up.
Can I wash it?
Remove the battery pack first. Most heated vests are hand wash or gentle cycle only and should be air dried, never tumble dried.
Does it come with a battery?
Venustas heated vests are typically sold with a battery pack and charger. Confirm the included battery capacity on the listing before buying.
When is it cheapest?
Heated apparel tends to discount in late fall and around Black Friday, and again at the end of winter. Check the price history before buying.
What do buyers say about the Venustas Upgraded Men's Heated Vest?
