Our take on the Versace V Leather Boots Women's 70 mm

The Versace V Leather Boots are women's ankle boots in smooth calf leather with a 70 mm block heel and V-shaped hardware at the side. The engraved enamel Versace logo is the main design cue, so they read as a logo piece rather than a plain leather boot. They are a fashion-first boot, not a weather or walking boot.

Best forFashion shoppers who want a visible designer logoWearing with jeans, midi skirts or tailoringAdding height without a thin stiletto heelOccasions and evenings rather than daily commuting
Pros
  • Smooth calf leather upper with a clean, polished finish
  • 70 mm block heel gives height with more stability than a stiletto
  • V-shaped hardware and enamel logo make the branding clear
  • Ankle height works with cropped trousers and midi hems
  • Versace's Italian-made footwear line has a long resale and brand following
Cons
  • A 70 mm heel is still high for all-day walking
  • Smooth leather and an open ankle shaft offer little warmth or weather protection
  • Logo-heavy design is not for shoppers who want a subtle boot
  • Premium designer pricing with no functional advantage over cheaper leather ankle boots
  • Calf leather needs care and is prone to scuffs at the heel and toe

Questions and answers

What heel height do the Versace V Leather Boots have?
They have a 70 mm block heel, roughly 2.75 inches. That is a mid-high heel, taller than a kitten heel but shorter than most stilettos.
Are these boots leather?
Yes. The upper is smooth calf leather. The shaft is ankle height, so they suit spring and fall more than deep winter.
How do Versace boots fit?
Versace women's boots generally run true to size for standard-width feet. If you are between sizes or have a wide foot, size up, since smooth leather has little give at first.
What is the V-shaped hardware on these boots?
A V-shaped metal accent sits on the upper, paired with an engraved enamel Versace logo. Both are decorative and fixed, not removable.
Are these boots good for walking or commuting?
They are a fashion boot, not a walking shoe. The 70 mm block heel is steadier than a stiletto, but for long commutes or standing all day a lower-heeled boot will be more comfortable.
When is the best time to buy designer ankle boots like these?
Designer boots usually see the deepest discounts at end of season, in late winter and again in mid-summer clearance. Watch the price history rather than buying at full price early in the season.
Where can I buy the Versace V Leather Boots Women's 70 mm?
2 stores we checked sell it, including farfetch.com, Vitkac.
