Is the Vertiv VRA3001 worth it?

If you need a simple fixed shelf for a Vertiv VR rack and your gear weighs under 50 lb, it does the job. Cheaper generic shelves exist, but fit and finish on Vertiv accessories is usually more consistent.

Will it fit a non-Vertiv rack?

It is a standard 19-inch, 2U shelf, so it should mount in most 19-inch racks with square or threaded holes. Vertiv lists compatibility with its VR rack line, so check your post spacing first.

How much weight can it hold?

The rated capacity is 49.6 lb (22.5 kg). Because it is a cantilever shelf, that load hangs off the front posts, so keep heavy items toward the back.

The shelf itself. Mounting screws and cage nuts are often sold separately with rack accessories, so confirm with the seller before ordering.

At $95.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is near the bottom of its recent range. With only two stores listing it, watch both before buying.
