Questions and answers

Is percolator coffee stronger than drip coffee?
Usually yes. Percolators cycle water through the grounds repeatedly, which extracts more and can taste stronger or more bitter than drip.
How many cups does it actually make?
It is rated at 12 cups with a 1.8 L carafe. That is about 12 small 5-oz cups, fewer if you use large mugs.
Does it keep coffee warm automatically?
Yes. It switches to automatic keep-warm after brewing, so there is no separate warming control.
Can I put the carafe in the dishwasher?
The stainless steel carafe and parts are generally hand-washable and many owners put them in the dishwasher. Check the manual for the base and cord, which must stay dry.
Is $39.99 a good price?
At $39.99 at Walmart as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end for a 12-cup stainless electric percolator, and 3 stores price it new, so compare before buying.
Is it good for a large family or office?
It suits a large household or a small gathering. VEVOR lists it for home use, not commercial use.
