Our take on the VEVOR Mechanical Keyless Entry Door Lock 14 Key Mechanical Keypad Door Lock with Adjustable Thumb Knob Silver

This is a mechanical keypad deadbolt-style lock that opens with a 14-key code and a thumb knob, with no batteries, wiring or app. VEVOR markets it as a weather-resistant lock for exterior doors, and the code is changed by rearranging pins inside the keypad rather than through software. The best new price is $35.90 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with 2 stores listing it new. That is near the low end for mechanical keypad locks, which typically run $30 to $80.

Pros
  • No batteries, wiring or app to maintain
  • 14-key code with a mechanical thumb knob for one-hand entry
  • Code is changed by rearranging pins, so no account or software
  • Works during power or network outages
  • Low price for a keypad lock
Cons
  • Mechanical keypads show wear on frequently used digits, which can hint at the code
  • Changing the code means disassembling the keypad, not a quick menu change
  • No remote access, logging or auto-lock scheduling
  • Finish and build quality are basic at this price
  • Fits standard door prep only; check backset and door thickness first

Questions and answers

Is this lock worth it over a smart lock?
If you only need code entry and want zero batteries or app setup, yes. A smart lock costs more but adds remote access, auto-lock and entry logs.
Does it need batteries or wiring?
No. It is fully mechanical, so the keypad and thumb knob work without power. The battery-powered note in some listings does not apply to this model.
How do I change the code?
You remove the keypad cover and rearrange the pins to match your new 14-digit code. It is a manual job of a few minutes, not an app setting.
Will it fit my door?
It replaces a standard deadbolt, so check your backset (2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inch) and door thickness before buying. Non-standard prep may need drilling.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price was $35.90 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Mechanical keypad locks rarely discount deeply, so watch for eBay coupons rather than seasonal sales.
Where is the VEVOR Mechanical Keyless Entry Door Lock 14 Key Mechanical Keypad Door Lock with Adjustable Thumb Knob Silver cheapest?
At Best Buy, for $45.90, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the VEVOR Mechanical Keyless Entry Door Lock 14 Key Mechanical Keypad Door Lock with Adjustable Thumb Knob Silver?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Best Buy, eBay.
