Our take on the VEVOR Underbody Truck Tool Box 48 x 18 x 18 Inch

The VEVOR Underbody Truck Tool Box is a 48 x 18 x 18 inch steel storage box that mounts under a truck bed or trailer frame to free up cargo space. It is a budget-priced alternative to name-brand aluminum underbody boxes, with a black finish and a locking latch. As of November 8, 2026, the best new price is $259.88 at Lowe's, the only store listing it new, so there is no recent price range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Does it fit a standard pickup bed?
At 48 inches long and 18 inches tall and deep, it fits under most full-size pickup beds and flatbed frames. Measure your frame rails and clearance before ordering.
Is it lockable?
Yes, it has a latch with a keyed lock. The lock is basic, so some owners swap it for a padlock or better latch.
Is it waterproof?
It is weather-resistant, not waterproof. Owners report that the lid seal lets in some water and dust, so keep sensitive items in bags.
What is included in the box?
The box and keys are included. Mounting brackets and bolts are not, so plan on buying hardware separately.
Steel or aluminum?
Steel is cheaper and resists dents, but it is heavier and rusts if the coating fails. Aluminum costs more and will not rust.
When is it cheapest?
As of November 8, 2026, the best new price is $259.88 at Lowe's, the only store listing it new. Watch for seasonal truck and trailer sales.
Where is the VEVOR Underbody Truck Tool Box 48 x 18 x 18 Inch cheapest?
