Does the Victor PestChaser actually work?

Results vary. Some owners report fewer rodents in treated rooms, but ultrasonic repellents have limited scientific support and walls block the signal. Treat it as one part of a broader rodent-control plan.

Is it safe around cats, dogs and children?

Victor says it is safe around people and non-rodent pets when used as directed, since it uses no chemicals or poison. Some pets and people can still hear the high-frequency tone and may be bothered by it.

How many rooms does one unit cover?

Each unit is intended for one average-size room such as a bedroom, living room or kitchen. Sound does not pass well through walls, so larger or open spaces need more units.

How long does each unit last?

Victor rates each unit for 3 to 5 years of continuous use. After that, replace it.

What is in the six-pack box?

Six white plug-in PestChaser units. No batteries or refills are needed; each unit runs from a standard wall outlet.

Will it get rid of an existing mouse problem?

It is a repellent, not a trap or poison. It may discourage rodents from staying in a treated room, but it will not remove a nest or a established infestation on its own.

Our take on the Victor PestChaser M756K Rodent Repellent Plug-In

The Victor PestChaser M756K is a plug-in ultrasonic device that claims to drive mice and rats out of average-size indoor rooms without traps, poison or chemicals. It plugs into any wall outlet and each unit is rated to last 3 to 5 years. This listing is a six-pack, so it covers a whole house or apartment at once. It is a repellent, not a killer: it does not remove an existing infestation.
