Our take on the VidPro 36 LED Photo and Video Light with Accessory Bundle

The VidPro 36 is a small on-camera LED light that runs on three AAA batteries and mounts on a camera shoe. It puts out a fixed 5600K daylight beam with a built-in diffuser and a dimmer, and its interlocking body lets you stack several units into a larger array. At $17.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it is a low-cost entry light rather than a serious studio fixture.

Best forVloggers and run-and-gun shooters on a tight budgetFilling in faces for on-camera interviewsBeginners building a first lighting kitBuying several units to stack into a small array
Pros
  • Very cheap at $17.99 for a usable on-camera fill light
  • Fixed 5600K daylight matches most outdoor and window light
  • Built-in diffuser softens the beam without extra parts
  • Interlocking design lets you stack units into a multi-light array
  • Shoe-mount and AAA power make it easy to carry and set up fast
Cons
  • Runs on three AAA batteries, so runtime is short and costs add up
  • No charger or rechargeable battery included
  • Color temperature is fixed at 5600K with no warming option
  • 40W-equivalent output is weak for anything beyond close fill
  • Average 3.7 out of 5 rating suggests mixed owner satisfaction

What reviewers say

  • 3.7 / 556 ratings

Owners treat the VidPro 36 as a cheap, pocketable fill light rather than a main source. The 3.7 out of 5 average from 56 ratings points to a split between people happy with the price and portability and those frustrated by battery life and output.

What people mention

  • PortabilityPraisedReviewers like that it fits in a bag and sets up on a camera shoe in seconds.
  • StackingPraisedThe interlocking design lets owners clip several units together for more output.
  • ColorMixedThe fixed 5600K daylight is clean but leaves no way to warm the light for indoor shots.

Questions and answers

Is the VidPro 36 LED light worth it?
At $17.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it is a cheap way to add close-up fill light. Expect short battery life and modest output, so it suits casual video, not professional sets.
Does it come with batteries or a charger?
No. It runs on three AAA batteries, and neither batteries nor a charger are included, so budget for rechargeables.
Can I change the color temperature?
No. The light is fixed at 5600K daylight, with no warming filter or adjustable color temperature.
How long do the batteries last?
Runtime depends on the AAA cells and brightness setting. Owners report short runs, so carry spares or use rechargeable AAAs.
Can I mount it on a camera or tripod?
It has a shoe mount for a camera hot shoe. For a tripod or stand you need a shoe adapter, which is not included.
Can I link several units together?
Yes. The interlocking body lets you stack multiple VidPro 36 units into a multi-light array.
